Krafton, Inc. and McLaren Automotive have announced a collaboration that will bring exclusive vehicle skins and items to PUBG: Battlegrounds. The luxury carmaker's licensed items are first going to be available for PC and a little later to console players. The McLaren skins for PUBG: Battlegrounds will be available for a limited time and accessible throughout the game on different maps.
PC players will have access to the McLaren GT vehicle skins from September 7 to November 2, while console players will be able to obtain the skin from September 15 to November 10. To celebrate the collaboration, players can get the McLaren GT Standard-Onyx Black, which features a vehicle skin, costume, gear, emote, and more from in-game McLaren Loot Caches. They will then be able to equip the McLaren Skins to vehicles via the new vehicle interaction feature.
PUBG Battlegrounds players can also make "McLaren GT Standard – Silica White" and "McLaren GT Elite – Volcano Yellow" vehicle skins in the Workshop by using the McLaren tokens acquired from McLaren Loot Caches and the Crafter Pass: McLaren. McLaren Loot Caches and the Crafter Pass will be sold in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS during the collaboration periods for PC and console. Additionally, exclusive McLaren Automotive customizable items will also arrive with the collaboration so that players can create their own McLaren vehicles to suit their personal style. In the Workshop, players can craft exterior vehicle colors, brake calipers, wheels, and more to design their own vehicles with these items. The customized cars can also be displayed in the custom lobby.
Update 19.2 brings along the aforementioned food truck that players can use exclusively on Deston. The food truck has an open window that the up-to four passengers can shoot out of. Deston, which was released just before the previous PUBG Update 19.1, now also has an all-new weather system that features more realistic lighting and weather.
